As such, we all need to do our homework to prepare for this election. Do your research on all the candidates. Are the candidates’ values and track record in line with your values, with biblical precepts, with the constitution? Remember, change happens at the local level, not just at the federal, so we all have a part to play in this. 

If at all possible, vote on the day of the election. Being there on election day is preferable to early voting.

• Pray for those affected by the recent shootings in the nation, that they be comforted and protected
• Pray for the hopeless, that they find hope in the Lord. 

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, as our nation mourns those wounded and affected by the recent shootings in our country, we pray for Your protection. We declare that this is Your nation and no weapon formed against its people shall prosper. Lord, we trust that You will uphold us with Your righteous hand.

As the FlashPoint Army, we combat Satan by wearing the full armor of God. Every day, we stand in prayer, wearing the helmet of salvation, the breastplate of righteousness, the belt of Truth and the shoes of peace. We stand ready with the shield of faith to quench the darts of the evil one. We wield the sword of the Spirit—Your Word—always ready to assert Your promises and stand on Your Truth.

Hatred and fear have no place here! You are our stronghold in times of trouble. For those who have been confused and used by the enemy—stumbling in darkness—we pray they find You in the light and put their hope and trust in You.

Finally, Lord, guide our leaders and our law enforcement as they work to ensure our safety. Give them special wisdom to see things You need them to see, and courage to act when You speak to their spirits.

Thank You, Father, for Your love. Thank You, Father, for Your protection. Thank You for guiding our steps and leading us in Your ways. We put our full trust in You for You are faithful. In the mighty Name of Jesus. Amen!
