Topics to pray over:
Today’s prayer comes from an excerpt from my book FlashPoint of Revival, which I read on air this week. It is imperative we understand the times, understand who we are in Christ, and step into the faith God gave us to do all we’re called to do.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, for many Americans, these are confusing and challenging times—but we know that what we’re seeing are signs of spiritual warfare all around us, bringing us toward the Day of Your return. Lord, give us and our leaders wisdom to discern right from wrong, to see beyond what man sees. Guide us in Your ways as a nation.
And as the Body of Christ, we pray for our fellow brothers and sisters. While many people call themselves Christians, help Your people to go beyond the label and discover who they are in Christ. We are Your workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works which You prepared in advance for us to do. We are forgiven, redeemed and made for victory! We take hold of that truth and are determined to live it out in actionable ways. Stir up our confidence, Lord, for we know that You have called us and equipped us to carry out Your purposes…for our families, cities and country.
We trust in Your divine plan and provision. We won’t be conformed to the pattern of this world. Rather, we will be transformed by the renewal of our minds. Stir in us a longing to know You more, to experience revival all around us, and to dig deeper into Your Word.
You made us beacons of light, Father. Give us the strength, the courage and the compassion to shine brightly. We declare that Jesus is Lord over the United States of America and we put our trust in You. In the mighty Name of Jesus. Amen!
